MK Diamond TX-3S 10-Inch Wet Cutting Tile Saw with Stand is a major competitor in the 10″ wet tile saw market. It has a 1 3/4 HP, 120 V motor that operates at 3500 RPM’s. One of it’s distinct features that sets it apart from it’s competition is a 1 inch arbor size. Most of the best wet tile saws on the market are 5/8 inch.
They have an array of blades that handle all typical materials like stone, tile, porcelain, masonry, and even glass. Another distinction is the patent pending misting system. This misting system helps keep dust to a minimum to allow working indoors. Two nozzles spray a fine mist, from a 55 psi pump, to keep the blade cool while cutting. Specifically designed diamond blades are necessary for efficiency under these low water flow conditions. MK Diamond has re-designed it’s air flow module, as well, in order to protect the motor from this mist when in operation.
It has a depth of cut at 3 1/2 inches and 2 3/8 when at a 45 degree angle. The tilting head allows a 22.5 and 45 degree miter cut. It has a plunge cutting feature that is allowed by the variable height cutting head. This also allows for blades smaller the the 10 inch capacity of this tile saw. It has the ability to cut tile up to 24 inches in length and 18 inches diagonally.
The MK Diamond is 85 pounds and has a foot print of 44″X 28″ and it comes with a stand that has wheels on it making it portable once set up.
